I’ve been working on getting a solo set together. I’ve shirked it in the past because, well, I guess I like to hide behind the rest of the band’s proficiencies. It’s an interesting process, and  I will hopefully be playing a few more solo shows in the near future. (Check the ’shows’ section for upcoming dates).

Also, last year I finished writing and recording a concept album, and it’s now been mixed and mastered. This is quite unlike anything I’ve attempted – strings, horns, a solo piano composition, etc. I really let loose on this one and embraced my love of bands like Yes and King Crimson, and also more modern metal influences, too. It’s not really a metal album, per se, but certainly contains some heavy moments. This album will hopefully be out by the summer… I’ll keep you posted as to it’s progress, and at some point fairly soon, provide a couple of snippets up on the site to give you a sense of what this thing sounds like.

That’s it for now. Like any songwriter, I’m working on new material, and will probably share a few new ideas with you as they come to fruition.
