Some of you may have noticed that the links for perusing/downloading Turn Off Your Name (1&2) directs you to another site. It’s a new-ish “publishing platform for musicians” called bandcamp.com, and they provide an excellent service for independent musicians. All money from downloads goes directly to the artist, and they make available pretty much any file format you could ask for (FLAC, MP3, Ogg, etc.), which is better than I can say for almost every other place you can purchase music online.I’m setting up a little label ’store’ for Leutonia Recordings, and will be making some of my back catalogue available there, as well.

Within the next week or so, I’ll be putting up a teaser track for my soon-to-be-released prog-folk-metal project, Failure Epics; I’ll keep you posted as to when that happens.

Take care,

Welcome to the new website. If you don’t already own it, take some time and listen to Turn Off Your Name (and Turn Off Your Name pt. 2) which will be streaming in their entirety for the next while. Thanks to all of the great feedback thus far; it’s encouraging that some people – even those who are a product of gen-iPod – still cotton to the idea of listening all the way through an ‘album’.

I’ve been working on getting a solo set together. I’ve shirked it in the past because, well, I guess I like to hide behind the rest of the band’s proficiencies. It’s an interesting process, and I will hopefully be playing a few more solo shows in the near future. (Check the ’shows’ section for upcoming dates).

Also, last year I finished writing and recording a concept album, and it’s now been mixed and mastered. This is quite unlike anything I’ve attempted – strings, horns, a solo piano composition, etc. I really let loose on this one and embraced my love of bands like Yes and King Crimson, and also more modern metal influences, too. It’s not really a metal album, per se, but certainly contains some heavy moments. This album will hopefully be out by the summer… I’ll keep you posted as to it’s progress, and at some point fairly soon, provide a couple of snippets up on the site to give you a sense of what this thing sounds like.

That’s it for now. Like any songwriter, I’m working on new material, and will probably share a few new ideas with you as they come to fruition.

Take care,
Be kind to animals.
